The thing about photographing kids is you never know what to expect...
some kids warm right up to you, while others take a bit of time.
This handsome guy didn't want to even look at me when he got here, let alone smile for me!
And who could blame him? Surely, not I!
Think about it; how would you feel about someone you just met posing you, asking you to smile and all the while clicking away with a giant black box in front of their face? Yeah, I wouldn't like it either. I get it. That's why we had some time to get to know each other before we started clicking away. He got to know me...I got to be tricked into believing he played soccer (too funny!) and I learned that this super star just moved up to his yellow belt in Karate. Way to go, dude!

Doesn't mom have the most amazing eyes? So beautiful!
My point here? I want parents to know that I won't ever force your child to pose for a photo. We will take as much time as we need to make them feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. If it means that I'm blowing raspberries with a stuffed animal on my head, then so be it. I'm brushing up on my knock knock jokes, too...
My goal is to get the most natural expressions possible from your child for their photos. Who wants a stiff forced smile staring at them from the wall all year long? Yeah, me either.
Oh, and my new friend K here? He gave me a hug before he left and even shared a gummy bear with me.
He ROCKS!
Thanks, T family - it was a true pleasure to meet you!
